The 1963 film “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” is ranked by the American Film Institute one of the funniest movies ever made. Featuring an all-star cast including Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle, Ethel Merman and Mickey Rooney, the zany film focuses on a group of people in search of a hidden treasure. Craziness then ensues throughout the three hour movie.
If the credited cast wasn’t impressive enough, “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” also includes the most impressive gathering of cameos ever assembled in a film. It’s literally a who’s who among the greatest comedian-actors of the time.
Here is a partial list of actors who were briefly, and without credited, featured in the movie:
Jack Benny, Jerry Lewis, The Three Stooges (Moe, Larry & Curly Joe), Eddie Ryder, Bobo Lewis, Doodles Weaver and James Flavin.
See if you can catch all of the cameos when “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” debuts on NOST Sunday, April 9 at 8 PM ET with additional showings throughout the month.
